About JL Fine Finishes LLC
Julissa Acosta, co-founder and Project Manager has an Associates Degree in Construction Management from Edmonds Community College in Edmonds, Washington. She has also completed related courses in Project Scheduling, 
Construction Safety I & II, Estimating, Construction and Contract Law, Civil Construction, AutoCAD, Scope & Quality, and Surveying. She has years of experience in project management, as well as actual hands-on experience in deck building, roof construction, drywall installation, and the planning and organization behind these projects and a number of other from-the-ground-up kitchen & bathroom remodeling projects.
Julissa also works with home and business owners who need help in planning and drawing out the specific designs for their desired projects. Her qualifications and experience in AutoCAD in particular makes this a core skill within the team.
In 2021, Julissa also received her qualification in Building Inspection for Washington State.
Gerardo Blanco has years of experience in building decks, installing roofs and a host of other large projects. He manages one or more teams, sometimes in several locations, and is always hands-on on every project.
Gerardo is detail oriented, and prides himeself on the final fit-and-finish of every project. Working with Julissa, Gerardo is involved in the materials selection process and the determination of what the best sequence of build should be. This means that an accurate estimate of how long the project takes is determined.

OUR APPROACH
Planning is everything, and every project begins with a detailed plan, so we and our clients always know what's ahead. We like our clients to know exactly what to expect, how long it will take, and what it will cost, with a minimum number of surprises. In the unusual case where we find something unexpected -- such as water rot under the floorboards -- we will advise our client immediately. Although we always aim to discover every issue before the project begins.
We hire and subcontract as the need arises. We have many long-term relationships with craftspersons in the trades, and when we need electricians, plumbers, carpenters or other project specific people, we can call in the right team to staff up even for large projects. This allows us to execute on big projects, but without the need to slow work down. We want to minimize the disruption to your home or office while the project is in progress.
We are careful to fully clean up at the end of each work day, and we understand you need to live in your home while the project is in progress. We are careful to protect your floor finishes, walls and furnishings close to the construction area.
